Saturday and Sunday

Watched the first DVD of HBO's Deadwood series. It had been on my list of things to watch for a while and playing Deadlands again got it bumped up the queue. It is set in the town of Deadwood, which is not only any law, a truly wild place. Now, I am not against a little swearing in a show if it adds to the setting, but when the amount of swearing starts to slow down the dialog, then, it has gone to far. The series goes beyond gritty, it is positively gravelly. And Ian McShane plays the most evil character I have ever seen portrayed. But it was interesting, however, I am not yet sure if I want to watch more . . .
Sunday was devoted to cleaning and moving things in preparation of tearing up the carpet in the master bedroom. Oh, and watching the final game of the World Cup.
