Of odd laws and comedians

The British Government is trying to pass a law making it illegal to incite hatred of a religious group, one of the people most opposed to this new law is Rowan Atkinson (of Blackadder fame). You can listen to a discussion about the law with Atkinson and the Home Secretary HERE (you will have to click on the link in this window). It is about 11 minutes long and Atkinson is only in the last third, but I found it very interesting and amusing.

Addition: The Government lost this by 10 votes.

Naturally, such enforcement will be drastically uneven. Can't believe that they would try to pass this kind of law.
