A variety of things

Almost finished with my current AEG project. Just a little polishing and it is out the door. Rah! Now I need to find new work . . .
Been watching more of the new Doctor Who series, almost having finished the first eight episodes, while they are not all gold, they are all enjoyable. It is so very nice to have Who back.
In my quest to see all the movies that are an important part of American culture, I watched The Godfather last night. I was a bit underwhelmed actually, the pacing is terrible and rather ponderous at times, passage of time is poorly marked, though the plot and acting were solid. But nothing exceptional there either. Overall, a bit of a disappointment. My Grade: C+
I had meant to mention that I had finished the Empire trilogy by Wurts and Feist (reading Servant of the Empire and Mistress of the Empire) at long last. In my opinion the first book (Daughter of the Empire) is by far the best, the second and third start to decline into fantasy and romance cliches, which was very sad. Still, I did read all of them and enjoyed some of the later two books, but feel that the first was nearly perfect and that the sequel did not live up to that promise.
