My leg is getting better . . .

Off to visit Doctor Moye this morning. The first thing they did was to take off my splint and all of its wrappings, allowing me to see my leg for the first time since the 9th. It was . . . surprising and unpleasant. In good news, I have not lost much of my calf muscle yet. In creepy news, they made two long cuts to get to the bones: one about seven inches long on the left side and about six inches long on the right, and the stitcher were reinforced by metal staples. Ick!
So, they pulled the staples. I went, with my leg bare and me being very paranoid about it, and had new x-rays taken of it. Then back to wait for Dr Moye. He came in, told me that I have strong bones and that they are healing well. He gave me an air-cast to protect my leg (which weighs nothing by comparison to the splints), told me to see a physical therapist and sent me on my way.
So, I will be back at Tyche's Games starting tomorrow. Except for Thursdays, which I will be taking off to aid my recovery, and the occasional physical therapist appointment.
As I am writing this there is a nice thunder storm passing by outside.
And Animal Planet is doing a special on Dragons with lots of CGI animation, it should be poppy but fun.
