Watched this on Tuesday, it has been something I have wanted to see for sometime. The Atomic Cafe is not a movie per se, nor is it a proper documentary, but a gathering of US news clips, propaganda shorts, and other pieces of culture from the beginning of the atomic age to the mid-1960s arranged in a chronological order but without interpretation or commentary. Letting the pieces speak for themselves is fascinating and slightly disturbing. But it has only the structure imposed upon it by the editing of these pieces together, so it is choppy and difficult to follow at times. Still, an amazing piece of American cultural history. My Grade: C+

It will go on my recommended viewing list for my Champions of the 60s game.
