OK, back safely from the GAMA Trade Show. Much fun was had and much swag acquired, we ended up shipping eight boxes (small ones) back so that we would not have to hassle with trying to carry more stuff then needed on the plane.

The GTS was good. Lots of interesting and fun things to look at. Nothing that looked like the Next Big Thing though. Caught up with our old friend Craig who was trying to sell a board game he had designed. Pleased by how many people remembered me and had some interesting, but short, chats with various AEG people.

Got all of my writing done and in to AEG for Phase 2 / Part B of the L5R Writers thing. Managed to write about 5K words over the weekend which is highly productive for me especially as I ran and played in a Shadowfist tournament on Saturday . . .

Yesterday was insanely busy at Tyche's as we got in seventeen boxes (a usually 'big day' for us is five) of things, including the first three from the GTS. Much unpacking and breaking down of boxes. Now I need to rearrange more of the shop to show off the new things. Busy, busy.

So, Laura and I went and watched V for Vendetta last night. Not bad, not bad at all. Hugo Weaving does a superb job acting behind a mask, even Natalie Portman does a competent job, indeed the acting over all is high caliber. The movie is best where it parallels the graphic novel and weakest when it tries to add new material. I found that many important details and pieces of background information were left out to the detriment of a fully coherent story (it was understandable, but analyzing how things with together started to reveal increasing holes). Also it lacked Fate and "This Vicious Cabaret" both of which made me sad. Overall, well worth seeing if you like political-action movies. My Grade: B
