Games of various sorts
Jan. 16th, 2005 10:21 pmWe had a good turn out, eight players, for the L5R tournament at Tyche's Games. Half of those playing their first tournament. My Lion deck took second place, as I conceded first to Jason's Unicorn deck as it was getting late. Still, a good time was had by all, I hope.
Afterward, while waiting for Greg (who missed the tournament) to show up Jason and I played a game of Shadowfist. Crazy Jammer monkeys against my Transformed Animal Deck. Great game, I only won when Jason decked out and I had no Feng Shui sites left in my deck at that point.
I had meant to update this earlier, but with LJ being down . . . On Thursday we finally returned to the primary Sea of Stars campaign (with Arienys and Shieldhaven, along with Trish and my lovely wife Laura as the players). It was a bit rough what with a two-three month break since we last played and me being unsure as to what the players would be doing.
But now that I know what the character are planning, I can prepare the enemy's plans and such. I am looking forward to the next game session.
Laura's Drakkonhold campaign was last night. The prince of our kingdom was brutally killed by his mad brother (and former king) in front of one of the PCs. Things are not looking good for our heroes . . .
