Huh. I only really know her from the Huffington Post. I was vaguely aware that she used to be conservative but switched parties over the past decade, but not much else.

I rather like the Huffington Post's political news section. It does a pretty good job of aggregating the political news of the day that'd interest me, with slightly higher standards than the Drudge Report (which once ran a headline announcing that Michael Jackson was dying of SARS, linking to a press release by a psychic claiming to channel the popstar). The New Age fringe dominates the opinion pieces, though: Deepak Chopra's inane ramblings are often featured, along with lots of anti-vaccination propaganda.

I only occasionally visit the Huffington, usually when another article links there. But I thought her background was quite interesting, she certainly is good to adapting to the current trends or running ahead of them.
