Paisley Cat - Gone

We had to put our oldest cat, Paisley, to sleep yesterday. She had cancer. We adopted her from the shelter soon after moving out to Athens, so she had been with us for twelve years. Paisley was about two when we adopted her and fourteen is not a bad age for a cat. The decline was very sudden, a few weeks ago she was fine, then last weekend we noticed she seemed weak and was not eating, that was a bad sign for Paisley food equaled love.

Laura took her into the vet yesterday, they ran tests and the best choice was to put her to sleep. She was not in pain and Laura with with her as she drifted out of this life.

Good bye Paisley. You were a dear cat and we will miss you.

Thank you. We tried. Paisley was not a very active cat but always there if you needed a cat to snuggle with.
