The best discussion of the American 'recession' that I have seen. Go read this to understand the current economic situation in the US.

Also, in LJ news, it is International Blog Against Racism Week time again, this year with the optional theme of Intersectionality which IBARW does not define but about which Wikipedia says "Intersectionality is a theory which seeks to examine the ways in which various socially and culturally constructed categories interact on multiple levels to manifest themselves as inequality in society."

I wish them the best of luck.

Good grief. I can't say anything about that last part. It practically makes fun of itself.

Which is sad, as it is a good cause.

Mind you, I think people have the right to be idiots and believe what they want to believe as long as they do not try and force that belief on me. But most racism is so irrational to be nearly an insanity.

I've learned that a lot of what passes as "racism", especially in this country, can be broken down this way:

98-99% of it is from hyper-sensitive fluffy bunny types with hair-trigger tempers, delicate constitutions and frayed nerves that are looking for any excuse to scream accusations of racism. And they love hoisting up terms like "intersectionality." -:-)

Generally, they can be dealt with by ignoring them, mocking them, or taking the attitude of "Go away, kid; ya bother me."

The rest is the lunatic fringe that have no issues with using violence to get rid of people who aren't just like them.

Mind you, I think people have the right to be idiots and believe what they want to believe as long as they do not try and force that belief on me. Ayup! You can act like an idiot, but I can mock you in return.
