akaihyoWent and saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in the theatre. Worth seeing on the big screen. Not the best of the movies, rating below Raiders and The Last Crusade, but Ford is still every inch Indiana Jones and the rest of the cast is excellent as well, especially Cate Blanchett as the evil Soviet psychic scientists. The interaction between the characters is wonderful and the plot is a thrill ride that makes little sense in retrospect (and includes some heavy handed political commentary at the beginning). There are some very cool scenes and visuals and I entirely approve of the Soviets as the villains of the piece. My Grade: C+/B-

The Tudors, Season 1, much like Rome, great costumes, sets and acting, terrible history. The timeline is so divorced from actually history and movement in time is so poorly signaled it is difficult to say how much time is covered in the first season, but Henry VIII has not yet divorced Catherine of Aragon by the end of it. My Grade: C/C+
Northern Exposure, Season 2, even better than the first as everyone has settled into their roles and the writers are willing to be even more outlandish. Great fun. My Grade: B+
