As usual, well after our viewing of them:

Ginger Snaps, a movie that makes a good attempt to reinvent the werewolf for modern times but never quite manages to overcome its low budget. I wanted to like it more that I do and I certainly appreciate what it was trying to achieve but it was ultimately a failure. May be some ideas that could be mined for a modern horror game however. My Grade: C-

But at least it was better than Cry-Baby, an early starring vehicle for Johnny Depp but far, far worse than that would imply . . . A real dog's breakfast of a movie that starts out as a romantic comedy, veers briefly into shallow social commentary and then into being a full blown musical! Has a ton of cameos but nothing can save this badly written and directed (both by John Waters) train wreck of a film. My Grade: D/D+

How to Steal a Million delightful mid-60s romantic comedy with Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole. While it is a bit slow at times, Hepburn is delightful while O'Toole is as his best as a charming rogue and throw in a caper to steal (the forgery of) a million dollar statue . . . Just a lovely movie. My Grade: B+

There are sequels to ginger Snaps too, which have the same advantages and drawbacks.

In your opinion, are they worth watching? Do they improve on the original at all?

I can;t say they improve. It's been a while. My recollection is that one is set in the 1800s, and it's fun if you like Cowboys and Mystic Horrors.
