A review of Honor: A History looks into the minds of the terrorists using history as a lens and tries to make sense of the actions of the Islamic states. I think it is a sound analysis.

for a RPG adventure: the Museuminsel (Museum Island) in Berlin! Parts of the museum complex on the island date back to the Prussian Empire. (Additional information on Museuminsel from Wikipedia here.)

The pseudo-scientific dark heart of the Nazi regime, Eugenics, is on display in Germany. Interesting article and an interesting exhibit.

They have been mapping out the underwater wreckage of the USS Macon, the US Navy's zeppelin-aircraft carrier that crashed. Be sure to look at the photo galleries. Ah, zeppelins and airships, how you fascinate me.

Due to the British Freedom of Information Act, MI5 has opened access to many items in the National Archives including a Soviet guide published in the 1930s giving advice on how to operate in London in the 1930s! Such fun. I would love to see a translation of the entire guide.

I found this amazingly cool site, Unreal Aircraft which details experimental, projected and other odd aircraft that did not see production. I stumbled upon it following a link from the Wikipedia B-70 Valkyrie bomber article (which I was looking up because I was considering updating my Champions of the 60s page). Anyway, it is a fun site to explore and filled with interesting information.

While visiting Wikipedia, I noted that their featured article for today is Doctor Who. How stylish is that?
