Dragons and Doctor Who

akaihyoWatched Reign of Fire last night, and it was not as bad as I had expected. Granted, the underlying background is implausible to an extreme degree, but once you accept that, the rest of the movie works out. Christian Bale does a solid acting job and the special effects are good. So, not terrible but not great either. My Grade: C+
Finished watching the new season of Doctor Who this morning. While I did not care for the (very literally) Deus Ex Machina conclusion to the season, I am impressed by how neatly the entire season wove together. Overall, I am so very happy to have Who back that I can easily forgive the weak episodes (which Who has always been prone to) and just be happy that there will be more Who. I am also sad that Christopher Eccleston decided to only play the Doctor for one season, I really enjoyed his take on the role.
