Review - Beowulf (Movie, 2007)

So, we watched Beowulf on Sunday, thinking, "Hey, Neil Gaiman was involved, it can't be all bad, right?" First off, its all CGI animation, all of it. We had no idea. It is pretty good, but still, for Beowulf I expect real people. The plot of the movie does not really seem to know where it is going with strange sub-plots alluded to (the rise of Christianity, the end of the age of myth, the last of a clan of monsters) but never resolved. Not utterly awful and with some pretty set-pieces but not good either. My Grade: C-
