Kids in the Hall, Season 1, wacky and more than occasionally bizarre and disturbing sketch comedy. The troupe is very talented and have some very funny bits with only the rare head scratching moment. My Grade: B
3:10 to Yuma Western based on a Elmore Leonard story (and the 1957 movie) of the same name. The movie seemed unfocused, but very violent, and wanted to show you that every character in it is a terrible person to some degree or another. Set off my "failure to suspend disbelief" reflexes several times. Lots of star power in it but ultimately unsatisfying. My Grade: C-/C
Idiocracy, a comedy by Mike Judge about an everyman who is in suspended animation for 500 years and when he wakes up, humanity has degenerated into idiots and he is the smartest man alive. Social commentary badly mixed with juvenile humor, some amusing bits but just not that interesting or funny. My Grade: C-
The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, the second of the Librarian movies, amazingly weaker and more cliched than the first but still amusing at times. My Grade: D+/C-
