Over the weekend, watched:
The end of Weeds, Season 2, sadly not as good as the first season. The show got ambitious in its plotting and with ambition comes plot holes, some of them quite major. Still fun but not as solid or as enjoyable as the first season. My Grade: C
28 Weeks Later the sequel to 28 Days Later (which was interesting but I did not find it "groundbreaking" as a zombie or horror film). It contains almost all of the worst aspects of the original movie while adding several new bad twists. I really just think that Juan Carlos Fresnadillo does not like England and really does not understand the military. A few good shocks but a very, very weak plot. Good acting and special effects though. My Grade: D+/C-
However, the DVD also comes with a short on the look and acting of the infected which is well worth watching.
Passport to Pimlico, a delightful Ealing comedy set just after WW2. The essence of the plot is that an ancient charter is found that deeds Pimlico to the Burgundian crown! Hilarity ensues. A sweet little, low budget film. Do not expect too much of it and just sit back and enjoy. My Grade: C+/B-
