The Crow Road, a British miniseries about a Scottish family and its secrets. Very interesting, very well acted, and a dark and twisting plot. And how can you not like a movie that has as its opening line: "It all started the day my Grandmother exploded." My Grade: B-
Edit: The title comes from a Scottish turn of phrase, saying that someone is 'Away the Crow Road' meaning that they are dead.
Prince of Foxes with Tyrone Powers as the heroic Andrea Orsini during the Italian renaissance. You can tell Andre is the hero because he is played by Tyrone Powers, just as you can tell that Cesare Borgia is the villain because he wears black and is played by Orson Wells. Filmed in location in Italy, so the sets and costumes are fantastic, the plot and acting less so. But an amusing enough movie. My Grade: C/C+
A nice piece on the BBC about two of the surviving French women who fled to England during WW2 to join the Free French visiting London again after all these years.
