Weekend Report
Sep. 17th, 2006 10:54 pmBusy weekend, survived another UGA Game Day at Tyche's. It was not overly busy but not bad either, worth being open in any case.
For Friday night we watched Sideways. An interesting movie about two friends on a road trip through California wine country before one of them gets married. An interesting character study with some very touching moments. Possibly more interesting if one has a passing interest (or more) in wine. My Grade: C/C+
On Saturday night, watched District B-13, a French near future/science fiction movie. The basic idea is that things get so bad in France that they wall off the worse immigrant sections of Paris and leave them to rot. The plot is so tissue thin it is painful but the action sequences are amazing. In the opening sequence, there is a chase through buildings and over rooftops that is entirely breathtaking. My Grade: C-
On Sunday, some clean up around the house and then off to
wuxiadaddy's Mad Pulp Campaign. Fun with friends, food and fighting pterodactyl riders.
