Things for the New Year
Jan. 2nd, 2006 11:28 amSpent some time on New Year's Day cleaning up the library and imposing a little bit of order on Laura's studio. Things are looking a little better and more organized. Now I just need to get rid of some of the books I no longer need . . .
forvrin will be glad to hear that we started watching Peacemaker Kurgane, just the first disc as the second is currently out. Very good so far, though the sudden appearance of actual supernatural forces in episode four caught me entirely by surprise.
Last night I was flipping channel and managed to catch Sinbad the Sailor starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. (who does all his own stunts). A fun romp through an Arabic world without Arabs, minimal but amusing special effects, amazingly fun (yet silly) costumes and sparkling dialog and dashing action sequences. A real gem of a movie. My Grade: A-
