Another weekend passed
Sep. 19th, 2005 07:42 amWe had a birthday dinner for
coffeebadass on Saturday with chicken and dumplings, an amazing chocolate cake and ended it by watching the first two episodes of Dead Like Me with our guests.
On Sunday, oversaw a Star Wars miniatures tournament at Tyche's, watched some TV and DVDs, and generally relaxed.
Finally got around to watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, in which Johnny Depp amazing in his ability to adopt the persona of Hunter S. Thompson. A fascinating movie and, even if only half way true, it is surprising that Thompson lasting until the age of 67 to take his own life. Worth seeing once for Depp's acting, the bizarre story, and the cameos. My Grade: C-/C
Started rewatching Revolutionary Girl Utena and it was like meeting back up with an old friend. Must get back to work on my academy based RPG campaign . . .
Glad that Mystery on PBS is showing the 3rd season of Foyle's War, which continues to be excellent.
