Strange Week
Aug. 5th, 2005 03:28 pmA very strange week.
The weekend was a weekend, not much got done except that we finally did get back to Laura's D&D campaign after a break of almost two months what with various things getting in the way.
Monday was busy with minor things, not very productive.
On Tuesday, we got up really early and went down to Macon (about a two hour drive, each way) for a tax auction. A comic and games store, called Adventure Knight, was seized by the Tax Department of the State of Georgia for failure to pay sales tax, 107K worth of sales tax. So, everything was being sold. Strange experience. We got some good deals and ended up with some strange stuff. If we had been more prepared, we would have been able to get even more and better stuff for the store, but still a successful trip. No writing gets done, we go to be early.
Wednesday was spent sorting the stuff acquired from Macon and, of course, multiple shipment arrived as well so I felt I was being buried in boxes. No writing gets done during the day.
Thursday, wake up and 4am and have trouble getting back to sleep. On the bright side I thought of some new things to write about during that hour awake. At Tyche's things are mostly sorted, not I just have to find room to put them out.
Today, Friday, managing to get some writing in. Need more ideas!
Words written on my AEG project 40,000 out of 50,000.
