Art and artists from GenCon
Aug. 25th, 2004 11:00 amI ending out hanging out with jim pinto on Thursday night and some friends of his, several of whom were artists as jim is the art director for AEG as well as being in charge of the D20 product line.
I met Drew Baker, Thomas Denmark, Raven (who I forgot to get a card from) and two of his friends, including the young lady who did the photo manipulation art for the Book of Erotic Fantasy. Also two guys working on their own D20 cyberpunk book and Steve Long, head of Hero Games.
You can see some work by Drew, the nicest guy in the world, at:
http://www.drewbaker.com/
Unfortunately, he does not have many of his color pieces up yet. He did a wonderful piece for the new empress of Rokugan, Toturi Kurako, but it in not yet on his site (I ordered a print of it though).
Thomas Denmark's art can be found here:

I also bought a piece called Medusa from David Caspall:

Which is being shipped to me.
Other fine artists who were there included Beth Trott (who I first met -again via jim pinto - at GenCon 2002):

Stephanie Pui-Mun Law:

Veronica V. Jones:

More as I find the links to them! And yes, all of them work on L5R, one of my favorite CCGs.
