Yeah, there are definitely some assumptions about uniformity and independence at work here. Here in Lansing, getting 9-11ed is a threat on the lightning strike level.

I suspect here in Athens too. I have no worries about terrorism, even when I was in London during the 1980s IRA bombing campaign, I did not worry. Idiot drivers rate much higher on my personal threat level.

Chemical weapons are an essentially trivial threat. Even suitcase nukes aren't that big a deal.

Bioweapons worry me, though.
