Review: Match Point

Rarely have I been so disappointed by a movie. Woody Allen's Match Point is glacially paced, meandering to the point of obviating any pretense of plot and generally boring and uninteresting. The acting is competent but the main character is unlikable nearly to the point of being unwatchable. The only redeeming part of the movie is the scenery of London. My Grade: D-/D

Thanks for the warning. I was thinking about checking it out just because it had Scarlett Johansson in it, but it wouldn't be worth it if the picture's that dull.

One of the worst movies I have ever watched. Dead Man was a lively romp compared to this film. Akaihyo's review is spot on. You will do well to avoid watching Match Point.
