I think Mark Mothersbaugh called "Dare to be Stupid" the best Devo video ever.

I had heard that too. It is an amazing DEVO video after all, it has all the right tropes.

Closest reference I can find on Google:
VH1's Behind the Music on "Weird Al" Yankovic featured Devo frontman Mark Mothersbaugh stating that once he heard the song "Dare to Be Stupid", he immediately hated Al for the duration of the 80's on the grounds that Al had made a Devo song that was better than Devo could ever hope to create by leaps and bounds.
