Review - Butterfly Sword

Mad martial arts action in Butterfly Sword, the movie's titles is nonsensical to the story but let it pass. The plot is incomprehensible where it is not tissue thin. The fight scenes are rather muddled on occasion but mostly quite amazing. It has evil eunuchs, rival martial arts clans, bizarre fighting styles and more. But really, it is the fights that make it worthwhile. Great inspiration for wild Wuxia games and Shadowfist. But, not a great movie. My Grade: C-
