Review - Napoleon Dynamite

We watched Napoleon Dynamite last week, and I am still not entirely sure what I think about it. It was not a comedy but it was funny at times, indeed, I am at a loss at what to call it. It was interesting, not too painful to watch and it had a happy ending. But did I like it? Not really. My Grade: C-

Review - Mulholland Falls

This we watched last night. Mulholland Falls should have been a strong Noir-ish thriller in 1950s Los Angles but it quickly loses direction and wanders off in a strange conspiracy-noir-cop movie mix that utterly fails to gel into a coherent whole. A shame as the first ten minutes set up the movie that should have been so well. My Grade: C-

Strangely enough

The Arabic al-Jezeera network has bought the right to rebroadcast two Welsh (as in BBC Wales - Welsh language) programs for rebroadcast. One of them is all about singing multi-racial (?) sheep. Full story here.
